Talent Show

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

This morning the kids had their talent show at preschool. They started youngest to oldest so Dani was first and Topher was the 2nd to last. They both did a great job! It was really fun to help them get ready and then to watch them do their talent. Dani sang a song that I remembered learning when I was a little girl so I taught it to her it is called “I want to be a mother.” I had to have my mom help me remember all the words! I had to help Dani with the last little bit but that was because mom wasn’t home to practice with her for three days! LOL Topher danced to one of my Mika songs! They had a great time!

With all of the Class!
I loved this picture! Dani is smiling and Topher is giving a "look" to his "girlfriend"! So cute!

Dani Singing Her song!

Topher ready to dance! Notice he is still wearing his wrist band!

Uploading video takes a long time! I have never done it before, so I hope you enjoy it!

Proud Momma!

Alex received two awards today the first was a Super Attender Award for not missing a single day of school this semester, which was great and the other was the 1st Honor Roll! Which you have to have a 94.00% average or higher to receive. We are so proud of him! He works so hard and is such a smart kid!

Post Christmas Fun in Colorado!

The rest of the week at the cabin was spent having snacks, playing games, packing up, cleaning up, playing in the snow and taking down the Christmas Tree!

Christmas Day!

Christmas morning was pure, joyous, chaos!
The look on Alex’s face say’s it all!

Santa really CAME!

Poor Dani Could hardly see!

Ellie loved the stroller & Baby!

1... 2... 3... GO!

Just what Mom wanted!
Did you notice that Ellie is now in different jammies?? That's because she shared her breakfast with Rich's lap! Never fails we always have at least one who is sick on the major holidays! And if it's not one of the kids it is Mom or Dad!!!

Hello? Can you hear me now?

The battle begins! Tophers Transformer and Daddy's new Robot!

We spent the rest of the day playing in the snow, playing games, watching movies, playing the Wii, and enjoying each other's company. All in all it was a wonderful Christmas Day full of Love and Laughter. Until Alex decided to throw up all over the bed I was sleeping in! Successfully pinning me in the bed between the wall and the mess! Rich had fallen asleep on the couch downstairs and I had to yell to get him to wake up and come help me!
What a way to end the day!

Christmas Eve!

This was the Beautiful Sunrise I saw on Christmas Eve Day Morning. It was breath taking! What a wonderful way to start the day!

Well we had a few miss adventures on Christmas Eve including a trailer that had to be dug out of a snow bank! But we also had a very nice evening! I made Sugar cookies with the kids and then they all got to decorate them for Santa. We made sure they each had two to decorate one for them and one for Santa! They were so EXCITED!!!!

Growing up we always, well almost, got new P.J.’s on Christmas Eve. I think it was my mom’s way of making sure we all looked nice for Christmas pictures. Anyway we have carried on this tradition with our kids and they love getting to open a gift on Christmas Eve.

Everyone in their New P.J.'s. Dani had an allergic reaction to the eye drops the Dr. gave her to clear up an eye infection. Thus the reason she looks so sleepy. It didn't fully clear up until she saw an eye doctor after we came home from the trip, and Ellie was just ready for bed!

Pre ~ Christmas in Colorado!

We were so excited to get to spend 8 days at the Cabin for Christmas this year! The kids couldn't wait to go! Every day it was a new question or the same one over again! When are we leaving? Is today the day we get to go? Can we leave now? I know that it was pure excitement because I was feeling it too! We hadn’t been to the cabin for two years and never when they had as much snow as they were expecting this Christmas! So after two months of preparation and two weeks of packing! We were off and the kids were elated! We didn’t arrive until a little after 6 pm so it was already dark and man oh man was the cabin cold!

The down fall of being where it is so cold is the preparing to go outside! It took twice as long to get everyone ready to go outside then they actually stayed outside!

The boy’s had so much fun playing in the snow! Dani liked it until she fell down, and Ellie was ok with the snow until Rich took her for her first ride on a sled and she touched the snow and realized how COLD it was! Then she wanted to go back inside!

Mom, Dani & I went Christmas tree Hunting. We almost didn’t make it back up the hill near the lake because the snow was so deep! But we found the perfect tree, well almost perfect! LOL Then Rich & I went to chop it down and drag it back with the quad.

The kids got to open presents with Grandma & Grandpa Hatch a few days early since they had to go home before Christmas………………… but there were no objections! They also go to open a few from Uncle TyTy! Grandma & Grandpa got to open the one's from us too!

The Boys Helping Dad and Grandpa stack wood on the porch! It was cold! We needed all the wood we could find, split, and stack! Thankfully the cabin warmed up after the first 24 hours and all we had to do then was KEEP it warm!
